The triple circle can also be used to identify and work with your inner child and higher self, in such a way that is balanced and aligned with your physical self in the real world. This involves visualizing the inner child as the center-circle, and the higher self as the outer-most. Your physical, real world self is represented by the middle ring.

Nestled in the very center of everything, your inner child is the innocent, naive part of ourselves that we are all born as. Eventually, we grow and mature, but there is always some part of us that is childish, and needs mothering and protecting. This is the part of us that is afraid of thunder, or dislikes being in the dark. Nurturing and tending to our inner child is important. If our inner child is not properly taken care of, we will feel insecure, out of place, afraid, taken advantage of, lost, or worse in our physical world.
Having a confident and secure inner child allows us to be openly creative, loving, and brave, much like children are. Learning to maintain inner balance in regards to our deep set sense of innocence and our childhood selves is very important in being able to bring these youthful facets into our physical world.
Our higher self, represented by the outermost ring, is the ultimate potential of that childish energy that exists in the center of the triple circle. Composed of our whole spiritual self, the higher self is aware of all our incarnations and our karmic cycles. While it cannot see the future, it can provide us with very in-depth advice as to the best steps to take next in our lives.
Just as the higher self cannot tell the future, it's future is affected by our current life path, as is the higher self's overall energy as a whole. How we tend to our inner child in this lifetime in particular has a large impact on how our higher self is able to function, because it impacts, not only our active, present self, but our spiritual self as a whole in a very permeating way. If our higher self is too preoccupied attempting to teach the manifested self to care for it's central being, it is unable to focus on the karmic cycles that currently permeate the soul energy as a whole. A previous edition of the Wisdom of Three: Vibration and Karmic Energy discusses why focusing on karma is very important!
Our manifested being, or who we are in the present, physical moment, is a culmination of our inner child and higher self. If we can find balance between the inner child and higher self, our manifested self is also very balanced, as a result. Much like the child, adult, elder cycle (a later edition of Wisdom of Three, don't worry), the process of finding balance between our inner child and higher self is one of learning to be the best version of "adult" we can possibly be in our manifested life. By being the best adult we can be, we are, hopefully, mending and improving our overall karmic resonance.
Taking care of your inner child and aligning with your higher self are, almost always, aligned. Your inner child is a child version of your higher self, after all, and likely has shared aspirations, dreams, and goals - at least the realistic ones, anyway (I'm sure we all had silly and unrealistic childhood ambitions of being a knightly lord of a castle, or unicorn ranchers, right?). Finding balance is a matter of recognizing what both of these aspects desire out of life, and doing our best to bring those desires into fruition.
Have you done inner child work? What sort of hobbies, goals, or dreams from your youth have you picked back up to find great joy in? There are lots of instances of this in my life, one of which tarot and the craft! I'd love to hear yours.
