Wisdom of Three: the Soul Cycle

It may not be surprising to learn that the circle of life can be contained within the triple circle, as today's post discusses. Similar to the circle of time, involving the past, present, and future, the circle of life involves the integral nature of all parts of our spirit's cycle as it seeks total enlightenment and unification with the forces of the universe. As the New Year unfurls, and a new cycle with it, I felt that this topic was very fitting!

This system of thought relies on the concepts of reincarnation and ascension. If you are uncomfortable with, or otherwise dislike, these spiritual concepts, this might not be the post for you. We'll still see you next week, I'm sure!

When we are born, we are dropped into the center of the circle, or the ring which pertains to the Self, as we have discussed in previous editions of the Wisdom of Three. The early part of our life involves a lot of growth processes related to the self as a result of this correspondence. We learn how our body works, and how we feel about our place and role in the world. We learn who we are, through the intricate process of living, and reacting to it. Our inner self, or at least the very fundamental core of it, is established during this stage of life.

It is only when we know who we are, and where we need to begin our path, that we are truly respected as adults, no matter how old we are. When we reach this stage of self awareness and self control, we enter the second ring, or life in general. Once we are established and self aware energies in the physical world, we can overcome the karmic situations we were born into (or, at the very least, strive to), and create lasting, physical changes. While this is not to say less established energies can't create change in the physical world, I am saying that it is much easier for someone who has a firmly established self to make substantial and long term, meaningful changes. These changes will also likely remain appealing to that particular energy over the long run, because the alterations are in true alignment with who that being is.

Once we die, or enter into the third ring of spirit, we have created the long term and permanent changes to the physical world that we could. These changes, even the smallest of them, have a residual impact on our perception of the spirit world. Depending on how we lived our lives, this period of incarnation can be horrible or wonderful. It is a reflection of the energetic impact of our life on the energy of those around us, and that can be a good or bad thing, depending on the choices we have made.

Early on in our life, we often feel most at the whims of the universe. This is because, as children or newly born beings, we do not have as much physical control over our reality as elder, more established energies. It is also because we are being pushed through the residual karma from our past lives, the very same karmic energy that we are exposed to in the spirit realm. While some of this energy is the same energy from many incarnations ago, the majority of it is going to be coming from your most immediate past incarnation.

Individuals are continually pushed through this cycle until their karma or energetic balance is neutral, at which point they realign with source, bringing with them their completed knowledge of a balanced existence. This return to source, called Nirvana or Enlightenment by many cultures, means that the energy in question has created changes that were in true alignment with their spirit's ultimate purpose and truth, doing the right and wrong things that were absolutely necessary of them to create overall balance in the waters of the universe. If you have read the previous entry of the Wisdom of Three: Vibration and Karmic Energy, this might be a bit easier to visualize and understand. If you haven't read it, I recommend checking it out!

Moving energy through the soul cycle seems to be one of the primary functions of the universe, most likely to acquire wisdom, and deepen its own level of understanding. Our role, living, is a very important part of the universal function, albeit a small one. While it can be very easy to become overly involved with escaping the soul cycle, especially during times of societal or life duress, it's important to remember that we can only do the best we can! At one point or another, each and every one of us is sure to achieve the great achievement of perfect balance and harmony with the universe.

Until then, it is good to know you! I am glad we are both here, alive at this wonderfully odd, monumental, fleeting moment in time.

Affirmation:

I live in growing alignment with my Universal purpose.
