Mabon 2019 Pick A Card

Hello and welcome to the Mabon 2019 Pick A Card reveal! If you have not already selected one of the four choices on our Instagram page, please do so by visiting it here. Mabon is one of my favorite holidays during the turning of the wheel, mostly because it is so close to my birthday, and involves some of my absolute favorite flavors, colors, and themes. As such, I'm quite excited that is the first in our Solstice and Equinox Pick A Card series. There are four piles to choose from today. You can quickly allocate your pile by searching for its number, or scroll until you see it below! Each reading is based on an adorable spread posted last year by @bearfoot_greenwitch on Instagram, and is (supposed to be, anyway) shaped like an acorn! You can select your pile based on the acorn, crystal, or many other attributes of each pile, or on intuition alone. The choice is yours!

Please remember that these readings are for a large number of people, and are not time restrictive. Whenever and however the reading resonates with you is meant to be, and not all of my readings are going to! Please take what fits your situation, and leave the rest. If you find your chosen pile does not resonate at all, please feel free to select another pile. Remember that you always have free will, and that I (and my dear friends in spirit) are not responsible for any choices you may or may not make based on our advice.

Now, onto the readings!

Pile 1: Calligraphy Stone

The Calligraphy Stone indicates to me that you have been doing a lot of journaling and introspection lately, in particular relation to how the various people and energies you are connected to are effecting your overall vibration and life path. If you have not actively been writing, perhaps you have been considering it, or simply spending much more time in introspection, considering your past, self, and connections to those around you.

This introspection has allowed you to begin to hear and feel your intuition much more clearly than you have before, though it was very slow to develop, and sometimes feels to be a much more immense effort than the rewards yielded so far. The Singer of Intuition has arrived during this time to provide you will an extra boost of its delightful energy, deepening your connection with spirit and your higher self in the process.

You are being asked to refrain from beginning any new relationships or deeply emotional endeavors at this time, and to maintain a logical thought process as you move forward. Some of the chaos you current feel in your life is derived from your constant search for emotional fulfillment from outside sources, be it emotional, spiritual, or material, but the fact of the matter is, what you seek comes from within. It is only through finding balance and unity among your mind, body, and soul that you will be able to discover the grounded, abundant reality you desire, and that balance can only be struck if you learn to trust in your own instincts and strengths. Intuition, no matter how clear or powerful, is entirely useless in the hands of someone who will not act on its wisdom, either because they are afraid or wary of the outcome, or find themselves confused and unclear about what their intuition is asking for in the first place.

The development of your spiritual connection with your higher self and guides is leading you towards ultimate emotional fulfillment. If you can learn to trust in and listen to yourself and your higher powers, you will find deep satisfaction around how this transition makes you feel about your place in the world, and among others. In addition to providing a profound level of joy, this transition will create an opportunity for you to discover an even deeper, more involved connection with spirit than you have currently already developed, if you choose to take on the new challenge.

It is time to move on from your regrets of the past, and how your newfound roots and abilities might have benefited you. That is not the point of these lessons. Instead of wondering what might of have been, find the lessons to be discovered in the ways your past has not gone according to plan. With these lessons in mind, carry on! Your newfound wisdom and knowledge are allowing you to begin anew, without any sort of regret, shame, or blame from what has already come to pass, but you must choose to stop juggling these negative thoughts around in your mind, first.

Shadow and inner child work would greatly benefit you at this time. I believe you are already doing some of this, now, but the time to intensify these efforts is at hand. While you begin to examine the less pleasant aspects of yourself and your past, be gentle and kind, as a mother would, but also be firm and responsible, as a father. Learning to parent yourself is a very rewarding, albeit difficult, process, but spirit assures us that being a loving, well intentioned parent with ourselves at this time will help us along our journey in more ways than we can imagine.

Unraveling the multitude of layers that make up who you are is your next task, the faeries announce. With your newfound, intuitive connection to spirit, they assure this will be much, much easier than times you have attempted this task in the past. They ask you to remain lighthearted and open minded, and to not dwell so often or so long on things that you cannot change. It is important to laugh at ourselves, they say, but also to not allow others (ourselves included) to get away with behavior they should not be.

The crystals have some insight for how best to go about your new phase of self discovery, which Dendritic Agate is here to assure you is very, very important at this time. For one, the Tree Agate points you to nature, and all the wisdom she provides. Spending time each day meditating, especially outside, will help you connect to yourself on a deeper level. Working on artistic or creative endeavors, such as writing, painting, sculpting, and brainstorming will also be of great benefit to you. All of this work will help you improve your relationships with everyone around you, yourself and spirit included. We most certainly wish you luck!

Pile 2: Green Aventurine

Green Aventurine is a stone of abundance and manifestation, which indicates, to me, that group 2 has been working with the law of attraction, positive thinking, and other methods of manifestation to make use of all that the universe has to offer. Even if you are not intentionally doing so, your thoughts and actions are working together to create your present reality. Perhaps you are effecting your manifestation much more, or in a much different way, than you intended. Regardless, Mabon seems to be a time to carefully analyze your manifestation work to determine how to best progress with what your work has yielded so far, or to increase your manifestation efforts in general.

Anything in your life that was not serving your ultimate happiness has been or will be cleared away during Mabon. If you have felt disconnected or distant from spirit, this connection is likely to be revitalized at this time, as well, as the negative ties that were barring you from this connection are removed. Past relationships that came to sudden or undesired ends may return during this time as well, or at the very least, clarity and resolution to these severed connections will be provided.

Consider during this time how you can balance the amount of money or abundance you have arriving to going out. If you have excess cash flow, perhaps it is time to consider a financial endeavor of some sort, or to donate to charity. If you have too little money coming in, it is time to reconsider your budget. How can you spend less? How can you earn more? Whatever the predicament and solution, there most certainly is one. Spirit would love to help bring more beneficial abundance in for you, but you must first provide them the proper channels.

A deeper connection with yourself and spirit is being forged at this time, providing you a sense of emotional security that was previously lacking in your life. A manifestation is nearing harvest, as well, that needs just a little more work and energy to arrive into fruition. The universe is settling you into a place of greater emotional and physical security, a change that has been driven by your hard work and motivated efforts up until this point. Though you may have felt vulnerable or foolish around your choices up until now, especially as they have not manifested many results, you will be pleased to know that Mabon brings with it the necessary energies to bring your efforts into fruition.

It is important to be wise and save, but also to be willing to spend our money and time. Focusing too much on our finances and prosperity can, in fact, block us from attaining our ultimate goals, and so it is important to remember to have fun, and spend a little from time to time, so long as it isn't careless. Do not dwell on ways you have suffered financially in the past, or not had enough to go around. Let go of your fear of loss, and any greed or selfish thoughts or emotions you have around the concept of physical wealth and prosperity. These negative energies are only blocking your abundance from coming in! Instead of worrying about what bad might happen, be grateful for what you already have, and what has gone well for you up until now.

As you continue to work with the art of manifestation, be wary of asking for things you do not want, or that will not ultimately serve you. Sylvanius asks you to look more carefully at yourself and current path, and the Master Maker is tssk, tssking at various flaws in your plan that he and Sylvanius see clear as day. "Look again, harder this time," he tells me to tell you. He also says that it is only when we are very honest with ourselves about the truth that the best potential outcome can come about, and he and Sylvanius are quite certain you are ignoring some fact, or misleading yourself around another. Whatever the case, something is amiss, and if it is not fixed now, your resulting manifestation will not be at all what you thought it would be, and may not even be desirable at all. By being incredibly realistic about your current place and desires, and also taking the time to make sure that every last piece is in perfect order, you will find the results you've been looking for, not just what is currently coming.

Turning your eyes inward, and focusing on how you hold yourself back with limiting beliefs and fears, may be a key to getting your manifestations in order - it most certainly is the next step in your spiritual path. There may be ways you have let the opinions and thoughts of others define your potential and overall self, or you may have done this to yourself. Regardless, these "truths," are just shadowy illusions, and they are keeping your ultimate happiness at bay. While shadow work can be painful and frightening, it is important to remember that there is nothing to be found here that you can't handle. It's just little old you, after all.

The runes Isa, Gebo, and Perthro coming together suggest that there are ways you are holding yourself (and your ultimate abundance) back by depending on others too greatly. Perhaps you blame others for being in your way, or you let past words and actions limit you with fear and anxiety. For some, a toxic connection or marriage may be limiting you. If there are any negative or harmful people in your life, especially those you are manifesting away, spirit is working to remove them at this time, but requires your assistance through a continued focus on shadow work and manifestation. For others, codependency and a lack of self esteem may be the greatest source of this blockage. Regardless, the Futhark will have no more of this from you - stop it, cut this out! They decree. There is something very wonderful waiting for you, but you must first get out of your own way.

Pile 3: Blue Apatite

Blue Apatite symbolizes the first revelations or appearances of a manifestation, realization, or overall goal that is long term, and not quick to arrive. Pile 3 has been at work for some time now, and perhaps may even be on the verge of giving up on whatever goal or aspiration they are driving to, simply because there have not been results, or very view results, up until this point. The good news is, some sort of improvement or reward seems to be eminent.

Drawn, perhaps, by your growing desperation or frustration, the Bodach has come to create change where there was stagnation, and to turn over what has been sitting wrong side up for too long now. That what he turns over happens to be a table covered in precious china is not what matters. What matters is that he has created change, and in this instance, it is change that is very much needed, no matter how chaotic or unwelcome it may seem to be at first. To say luck is on your side is an understatement, because Bodacious Bodach normally brings just chaos with him, and no manifestations. That his disastrous meddling has actually gone in everyone's favor in this instance is something to be grateful for, indeed!

To much is being held inside of you at this time. Whether you feel hopeless, helpless, lost, or emboldened, taking the time to express those emotions in some creative way will not only help keep the Bodach from any potentially harmful meddling, but also raise your vibration, helping to bring your manifestations and desires in more quickly. Writing, drawing, singing, and even organizing your furniture in a new way can be a form of creative expression, and any of these creative outlets will help you to balance your emotions in a healthy, productive way.

You may find that the way you approach yourself and your path is changing. Things that did not seem clear or obvious are now glaringly so, while other aspects seem to require deeper searching. Allow the wisdom of winter to send you into the colder, darker places of yourself that you may have avoided looking in before now. Despite appearances, there is something important and illuminating to be found in this darkness, perhaps just discovering the simple beauty of learning to let go, or to accept the nature of change itself. What you have been looking for is just beyond this door you are so wary of opening, or at the very least, not far beyond it.

Release, at this time, the things that do not bring you happiness, or that leave you feeling bogged down and held back, in particular those relationships from the past that were lost to arguments, disagreements, and other painful, emotionally charged endings. The lessons gained from these moments are ones that will allow you to keep these circumstances from poisoning any relationships you have in the future, and also deepen your appreciation for the overall value and importance of love and trust. Do not allow others who do not share your depth of understanding to continue on with you at this time, whether they are a part of your physical or emotional connections.

In order to best assist your manifestations into reality, you are being asked to stop juggling things in your physical world that are too difficult to maintain, or that no longer interest or serve you. It is also time to stop attempting to force your manifestations into existence. Patience is needed at this time, as is trust that the universe will deliver your blessings to you when the time is right, and there is room in your life to receive them. By focusing less on so many things at once, you allow yourself time to breath, and wait. Anything that is meaninglessly financially draining should be dropped immediately, as well as anything that is too stressful, or just plain boring. Spend your time and energy from this point forward on things that serve you, and inspire your interest.

It is time to stop spending so much time in your thoughts, wondering where your harvest will come from, and to instead put forward the final efforts needed to manifest that harvest. You are aware of what this step or challenge is, and are likely avoiding it. The Hermit asks you to shine your lantern on this unpleasant reality, and to step towards it boldly, taking with you all the wisdom you have garnered until now. No matter how unpleasant or difficult it is, you must understand that if it is not faced, your rewards will never be received.

The crystals ask you to be realistic but gentle with yourself as you prepare for these coming changes. There are aspects of this situation that will require careful examination, and that are not as they seem. Do not let doubt, anxiety, fear, and other negative emotions or thoughts plague or limit you during this time. By stepping back and examining the situation through the eyes of your higher self, or asking friends and family for insight, you will be able to find a much more optimistic and effective strategy than you are currently using. Pile 4: Quartz In Sandstone

I understand this stone to mean that there is some higher wisdom or insight from spirit that requires time and effort to fully understand and receive. Pile 4 seem to be endeavoring to reach greater enlightenment or a deeper understanding of themselves or the universe. You may be recovering from a time of upheaval or hurt, while others may be absorbing the lessons provided by a trial or learning period.

Whatever this lesson period, the time for peace and resolution has not quite yet arrived, and the lesson is ongoing. The insight or reward to be gained from this challenge is eminent, as is the end of the trial. Over the course of this lesson period, you have gained a much deeper connection with your intuition, which a period of introspection and solitude will only further improve. I sense this time of rest is highly welcome and very much needed, if for no other reason than to gather your thoughts and energy after the difficulty of the trial you have overcome, and to allow you to fully analyze what remaining energies serve or harm you.

To allow balance to be regained after this tumultuous period or trial, new beginnings or bold starts should be avoided. Allow the energies to resettle on their own, especially those pertaining to imbalances or injustices that were done to you, or that you did to others, in the past. Focus on endeavors that you are already involved with, and that also serve your higher purpose at this time, and allow the past to heal and resolve itself in the interim. Those who are driven to evaluate their current relationships with people, work, or other energies in their lives at this time are motivated to do so by spirit, as introspection and evaluation will reveal which of these connections are no longer serving you. Some will also discover deeper, higher truths about themselves that will allow the universe to more fully align them with their higher purpose.

This current process is forcing you to evaluate and change what and how you dedicate your time and energy. Throughout all the chaos, what seems to be clear are the ways in which things, ideas, and people no longer seem to make you happy or serve you, and what things and people truly do. A large shift is going on at this time inside of your heart space: you are clearing away waters that are stagnant and polluted, and making way for the sun warmed, pure waters of spirit to take their place. These waters are not drawn from sources that were suggested to you by others, or the wounds of your past, but rather your own passions and desires, instead.

Continue to purge and clear away what is old, worn down, heavy, or toxic from your life, especially your emotional space. Taking extra time to love and pamper yourself while you do so will allow the universe to replace the negative energy you clear away with much more positive and beneficial energies. Spirit will assist you in healing these negative energies, or guide you to their sources, if you ask for their help and listen for their wisdom.

Accept that change is a natural part of life. If you still have to plan, plan for change, and trust that you now have the ability to spot the trouble long before it causes you any discomfort. Know that you are now wise enough to not climb trees you have no business climbing, that it is much faster to just avoid trees all together, and learn how to find some humor in having gotten stuck somewhere too high to easily or safely jump down from at all in the first place. The Fox is very clever, but also lighthearted, and usually looks at the future with his wisdom in mind, rather than dwelling on the lessons learned of his past.

As you move forward, refrain from lingering in doubt or thoughts of failure. Instead, focus on the ways you have already succeeded or achieved your goals, while continuing to work for the future. As Blue Apatite opened the reading saying, a slow progression towards a manifestation is at work here. While the work and time towards achieving this goal may seem slow to the point of being pointless at times, the Knight of Pentacles always brings rewards of great value. This particular Knight is especially slow, due to her relationship with ice, but as you can see, she has the ability to generate snowflakes from thin air. You, too, have manifested something glittering and miraculous from not much of anything! Continue to work towards your goals, remain positive, and whatever you desire will be yours, in time.

If you are seeking a union or romantic partnership through manifestation, the charms have affirmed that this is coming to you. For others, there is a major shift on-going in your heart space, or among your close relationships. Whatever the case, a transformation is taking place that is allowing you to align with your higher purpose. Further work and lessons are needed, of course, but a major stepping stone along the way is being overcome at this time. Congratulations!
