September 2019 General Reading: The Calm After the Storm

Blessed be, and thank you for joining me for my first monthly collective reading! I am working with the Wild Wood Tarot, Legends Tarot, and the Faeries' Oracle in addition to my stones and other tools for our reading today. This is a general reading for lots of people, which means it may not resonate with everyone! Please take what messages seem to fit with your current situation, and leave the rest. The energies of September bring to close the vast spiritual and emotional changes that were brought to us from the beginning of June until now. It is time to wrap up all the lessons that began so many months ago, bringing about a plethora of interesting energies. With a New Moon in full revelation beginning tomorrow, it is a beautiful and beneficial time to let go of whatever energies no longer serve us. While you may already be taking advantage of this energy, which arrives three days before the actual New Moon, the energy will also span until three days past the New Moon, as well. The overall energies present in the back of the deck for this reading is the Six of Arrows, Transition. This month, we are at last going to be overcoming all the turmoil that the past few months have stirred up for us. Peace, happiness, and a new dawn are promised with this card.

We are represented here by the Stoat, crossed by the energy of the Fox. Above us, we can see the most beneficial outcome to our situation.

The Wild Wood Tarot has revealed us to be the Stoat, a talented and ambitious individual with a keen eye for the truth of matters. With our ability to see the truth so clearly, we have recently realized something about ourselves or our surroundings that is out of place, and should be cleared away, allowing for new and better growth, or perhaps we have found some way to improve our current standing. This idea or revelation is incredibly appealing, and may be tempting us to jump into the thick of things before we or the situation are ready. We are crossed by the Fox, who is a clever trickster, and is very much like the Stoat, in many regards. Perhaps we are blocking our own growth at this time by not seeing the situation fully. There are potential pitfalls and flaws in our logic that we are hurriedly overlooking. Perhaps we are avoiding or over-evaluating various truths, and preventing ourselves from moving forward in that regard. The Fox is clarified by none other than the Knave of Wands, the Devil, and the Two of Swords, with the Two of Swords and Devil reversed. This elaborates, for me, that we are overlooking or overthinking some very important details or truths about a situation we have already come to realize is toxic and does not serve us. Perhaps we are stuck deciding if it is truly time to break away from this situation, or how breaking away will affect us long term. It is important to remember at this time that these energies are all being ruled by the Fox, who, cheeky as he is, has likely confused and muddled our thoughts around this situation for a good laugh. It is time to see through the confusion and potential manipulation of others to see our present self and situation for what it truly is.

We are assured by the resolution energies, the Nine of Arrows, Kingfisher, and Seven of Arrows that there is hope for a resolution if we remain determined and logical. The time for planning has come to a close, and it is now the moment for action. Remain dedicated to yourself, especially the spiritual truths you have discovered, as you work through these doubts and insecurities. The Kingfisher is a master of his emotions and passions. He knows when a flicker in the water is a fish, or just a shadow. By remaining true to your purpose, goals, and truths, the King of Arrows assures us that we cannot miss our target as we plunge into the waters of the unknown - but if we linger in doubt and fear of failure or consequence, we may find ourselves getting wet for nothing.

The Brown Jasper is located in our Self, while the Marble is located outside the circles, or circumstances which are ruled entirely by fate.

The crystals we have drawn for this month are a piece of Brown and Red Jasper, as well as Grey and Red Marble. We are asked to spend time grounding, and purifying and cleansing our root chakra at this time. Release whatever doubt or negative energy plagues you into the Earth, through actual grounding, meditation, working in a journal, or taking on some new artistic or creative endeavors. Through these processes, you may receive some sort of divine insight, allowing you to see your current situation from the grand scheme of things, rather than just your own personal role. This will allow you to clearly see and remove the blocks that are confusing or holding you trapped in regards to whatever toxic people, behavior, or things you should be clearing out at this time.

Excuse the fluff - I share my reading space with cats and dogs.

The turtle, owl, and tennis rabbit charms were pulled. The turtle asks us to consider our home: is it a place we need to move away from, somewhere we have lost, or is it somewhere we have learned to carry inside of us? Some of you may be feeling worn down or taken advantage of by others in your home life, or that your current way of life is stagnant and dull. The owl asks you to take time to think about this current predicament to yourself, as does the turtle, who is slow and methodical. Neither the owl or the turtle miss many details, what with one having so much time, and the other such excellent vision. Some of you may find that it is time to retreat from your daily activities all together. It is wise to know when to take time to think things through or recover from stressful situations or problems. Taking time to increase your physical activity or spending time in nature, especially hiking or doing any sort of activity that will raise our heart rate, may be of benefit to all of us at this time. The wild has a wide variety of wisdom to offer those who listen, and Gaia is always glad to help us work through whatever burdens or struggles we find ourselves carrying.

The Glanconer, and his extra set of eyes, see something very clearly that we are currently driving ourselves (and poor Indi!) absolutely mad with.

The faery spirits that have come to offer us their guidance are She of the Cruach, Indi, and the Glanconer. She of the Cruach, despite being reversed, is just as powerful as she always is. She offers the bounty of the Divine Feminine: comfort, grace, and nurturing. Perhaps, because she is reversed, we need to accept her healing and delightful energy all the more. In this instance, she is speaking to me of the indecision that Indi is here begging us to resolve: she'd love to help us choose, if we would let her. Why can't we just choose one way or the other? They both ask, though Indi is certainly much more bothered by the fact that we can't make up our mind around what is so obvious and simple to him (if only you knew my decisions to make, he bemoans, you'd not think you had much of a difficult choice at all). She simply wishes to bring closure to the turmoil this causes you and Indi both. That smirk on the Glanconer's face answers Indi's pleading question for us, though: there is some facet of our logic or perception here that is flawed, and the Glanconer knows that it has more to do with our focus on what glitters, rather than why it is glittering in the first place. The indecision we feel is an illusion we have created for ourselves - if we looked at the object of our desire a bit more closely in comparison to that which we wish to leave behind, we might find that the grass is not as green as we thought it was. Or maybe it is. We won't know if we don't thoroughly investigate, right? Regardless, something here very, very important is not being observed, perhaps even the reality that you already have all the information you need to move forward in the best possible way.

I don't think I've ever had two runes land exactly on top of one another quite like this before.

Closing with the Elder Futhark, I am immediately drawn to those double stacked runes. On the bottom is Algiz, facing upright with his branches to the north, covered by Ingwaz, who is upside down. This indicates, to me, that there is some sort of major choice involving our physical world that we are avoiding making. This choice could pertain to a career, home, relationship, or habit. This choice could likely be resolved with simple common sense, likely so simple that we are having a hard time accepting that the answer has really been so obvious all along. Perhaps this choice requires some form of inner work or growth in order to make, or it could simply be that this choice must be made before February 1st - the holiday of Imbolc - if we wish to continue to have divine assistance in the outcome. If this is the case, it would likely indicate that you are being assisted at this time by an ancestor, who must return through the Cave of the Bear at the turning of the Wheel, when the gateway between the realm of the dead and living closes. Pointing towards our self and the Brown Jasper is Tiwaz. Tiwaz asks us to honor ourselves and our inner truth, allowing justice to come to pass through our actions and words. I am hearing that if we choose to honor our inner voices at this time, bringing our inner thoughts into the outer world, we will overcome the blockages preventing the Divine Manifestations of Algiz from entering our lives. Hearing that inner voice clearly, however, may involve overcoming some fear or concern of a lack of signs or divine aid, indicated by Ansuz, face down to the left of Tiwaz. It is very important at this time to maintain true to our vision and faithful to the signs and truths we have realized up to this point, as the final rune is the blank rune of inner wisdom and one's personal, divine truth. There is a very important life lesson to be gained here, but we must follow our heart and soul, no matter our fear of failure.

Overall, I am seeing that we have been working steadily towards a physical goal, and that this goal is in sight. We can not only see the finish line, but have all the tools, and then some, to cross it in style. Doing so, however, will require letting go of limiting beliefs: that we are not following our destined path, that others are holding us back, or that we will fail. None of these things are true, so long as we are following what we know to be our personal truth. We should seek clarity through mediation and time in nature if and when we feel lost or disconnected from our truth. Be methodical and logical, but most importantly, do not lose sight of your goals, dreams, or inner truth. Let what you know to be true be a beacon that guides you through the coming month towards your manifestations.
