Ten Tenets: Faith

Updated: Aug 10, 2020

Faith is the next aspect of Vibrational Awareness that we are going to be discussing. It is a primarily positive aspect of behavior, but, as we are learning, that does not necessarily mean it is always positive.

This Tenet involves believing in your own intentional place in the universe. Whether you also believe in a God or Gods is up to you, as an individual. Faith can be practiced by anyone, really. It just means that we believe that we are going to end up where we are meant to be, exactly when we are meant to get there.

As all of us currently muddling through life know, this is not always easy to believe. That is why faith rewards us with positive vibration, because it involves overcoming the challenges that our world present to us using a deeper inner knowledge: a knowledge that is divine in nature.

Faith is a very powerful tool, but becomes a detrimental one when paired with our ego. The ego twists the truth of faith into one that suits itself, which disconnects us from our true alignment with source and our path. While faith involves believing that everything is going to work out as it is meant to be, that does not necessarily mean that "as its meant to be," is going to be in our favor. Accepting what is for what it is, a key component of true faith, is not possible if we become fixated on a false reality, poisoned by our perception of what we want. What we want is not the point of faith at all. True faith leads us to what we never knew we wanted, but that which is also what we need, and where we need to be, to boot. Approaching faith from a place of ego, as a result, is not only low vibrational, but pointless!

In addition to polluting our perception of the truth or the messages or nudges we are receiving to keep us along the proper path, the ego can further pollute the energies of faith when it forces secular belief on other people. If we become convinced our way is the only proper or right way, and that we must enforce that way on others, we actually stand in the path of others, disallowing them to progress as they should. Having faith in any particular path or way of life involves having true, absolute faith in that path. It does not mean that you must instill that faith in others, and most certainly gives you no right to ask faith of anyone but yourself.

Secular thinking can also result in becoming entrapped in archaic or ineffective patterns of looking at faith, which we actively experience in our day to day life now. Many religions are negatively aspected by their toxic relationship with faith, and their attempts to impose it on the common person, and one another.

The ego can also affect the energies of faith by creating a naive sense of safety or progress, reliant, purely, on the universe, or source of faith. This is unrealistic, foolish, and potentially dangerous! We must take responsibility and action for ourselves in some way, or we won't ever make it anywhere. We can, for example, ask for spirit or the universe to tend to the hungry and the poor, but unless we take personal action to bring those people suffering from poverty food and prosperity, we are just wasting our energy on empty words. More dramatically, we can allow ourselves to be taken from or abused over and over again, waiting on the source of our faith to safe us, or we can just remove ourselves from that situation.

Finding a proper balance and relationship with faith, however, is an extremely high vibrational thing. It completely eliminates anxiety and doubt around the outcome or future, mostly because, through faith, we believe we cannot be led astray or towards anything ultimately that harmful, so long as we are being wise.

It also, as a result, gives us a deep well of resilience and fortitude to call on during times of duress or darkness. The truly faithful know that any trials or challenges that they are presented are ultimately leading them towards their destiny. They know that these challenges are nothing that cannot be overcome, or, if the challenge can potentially be failed, that they have most certainly been prepared to face it, regardless.

Both of these things allow for the soul to maintain a light of hope that is very difficult to extinguish. This allows for overall happiness in life, even when things are not particularly wonderful or chipper from an outsider's perspective, because there is a deep, inner belief that everything is as it is meant to be, or working towards a better place.

Living in a state of faith forces us to be in alignment with our higher selves and the universe in a way that creates a naturally high vibration as a result. Hope, inner strength, and gratitude are all very powerful, positive forces of the universe, and faith entails them all.

How do you express or live in faith? I'd love to hear more from you below.
